Tech Sheet
Cannonau – also called Cannonau di Sardegna – is the local name for French Grenache or Spanish Garnacha. Recently, it has been evidenced that the Grenache varietal may have actually originated on Sardinia soil. This is Sardinia’s signature red wine. In fact, one in every five bottles of wine on the island is a Cannonau.
Castiadas Cannonau is a deeply colored fruity wine rich in strawberry and raspberry aromas and flavors layered with delicate floral notes and a touch of white pepper. It’s full-bodied with medium to high level of alcohol, nice acidity, and gentle tannins.
